Another gun free zone, another multiple victim shooting

Another horrible tragedy where permitted concealed handguns are banned. This incident occurred at a church in Illinois.

An Illinois pastor used the Bible he was reading from to shield himself from bullets being pumped at him from an unknown gunman who opened fire during Sunday services at the First Baptist Church in Maryville, Ill.

Senior Pastor Fred Winters was preaching during the 8:15 a.m. service when a man entered the church, walked down the aisle and started shooting, a parishioner told FOX News. Four others were also reportedly shot.

The .45 caliber semi-automatic pistol then jammed and the suspect started stabbing himself with a knife, Ralph Timmins of the Illinois State Police told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. . . . .

I find it disturbing that this is the ninth church shooting in the last three years! Churches need to be advocating concealed carry within their congregations!

I'm not hip to the law in Illinois.

I know you can't carry concealed in Illinois ... but is there something about the law there that makes a house of worship a gun-free zone in particular?

Isn't Illinois a gun free zone?

The questions I raise, what frame of mind did the congregants have by which they just sat there and did nothing, initially?

Someone approaches the preacher, is this normal in their church on a Sunday morning sermon?

Someone is having words with him, is this normal behavior on a Sunday morning sermon?

The guy pulls out a gun, what drama has ensued previously that a room full of people think that this is not note worthy by which to move them to action, instantly?

I don't know the answers, but the questions reveal much about the situation.

If you read between the lines, the other pastor ran off. Cacasotto. A lot of people did nothing.
