Endless Unemployment Insurance?

So what do you do when your unemployment insurance runs out after about two years? Apparently, about two million more people are declaring that they have mental health disabilities than about three+ years ago. From Fox News:

Being unemployed for too long reportedly is driving people mad and costing taxpayers billions of dollars in mental illness and other disability claims.
The New York Post reported Sunday that as unemployment checks run out, many jobless are trying to gain government benefits by declaring themselves unhealthy.
More than 10.5 million people -- about 5.3 percent of the population aged 25 and 64 -- received disability checks in January from the federal government, the Post wrote, a 18 percent jump from before the recession. . . .

Dr. Lott, it doesn't take a rocket scientist, or a Ph.D. in Economics, to figure out that when you pay people to sit at home watching Oprah and other useless TV shows, they will have no incentive to get a job.

Amazing how these people will claim they cannot adjust their budgets to be able to take a less paying job, but can adjust their budgets to live off the government teat. Funny how that works.

Markie Marxist sez: "Paying people not to work in capitalist America is the Marxist thing to do, and since we Marxists rule America now, that's what we do. It's just common communist sense. Funny how those capitalist private enterprise types, who require people to work for money, just can't compete with the free government money that we Marxists give away to people in exchange for them not working. It's like we're putting capitalists out of business or something! And we're using the taxes they pay to do it to them! Are capitalists stupid, or what? What a bunch of rubes! We take the capitalists' money and use it to put capitalism out of business! It's really too easy to be a communist these days. It's like taking candy from a capitalist baby! Ha! Ha!"
