How does the media cover Democrat and Republican connections to
Have you heard of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac? You know, I didn't know much about 'em until this news of Newt Gingrich. Newt Gingrich had a consultancy deal there, was paid, what, a million, $1.2, 1.3 million to consult. Why, you woulda thought that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, why, nobody ever heard of 'em until Newt became associated with them. But how about the fact that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac paid Franklin Raines $90 million? How about this guy Jim Johnson that ran that place for a while that walked out of there with over $20 million? Jamie Gorelick got something like $26 million . . . . And of course there's Barney Frank . . . . The media never reported any of that, wasn't interested at all, but now you've got Newt in a consultancy deal and all of a sudden Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are bad things. But up until Newt got involved, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, why gloriously helping people into homes and buying up mortgages and so forth. It's just amazing how the media is suddenly interested in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Wow, talk about spinning or pure lying. Ron Paul has been showing the raw dealings of Freddie and Fannie for some time. They were huge in causing the housing bubble which lead to the bust.

Of course Newt is at fault for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Why, just this morning while watching the news, Barney Frank said this whole mess was the fault of the Republicans...
I do not know which bothers I worse. The baldface lies, or the fact that folks believe in the lies. I understand the premise that ignorance breeds fear, fear breeds hatred, and hatred causes attacks, but why propagate such nonsense?
The problems of socialism, and the resultant destruction wrought by socialist programs are very clear to see. Yet there are those whom still thrust it upon us, and when it fails, they blame others instead of learning from previous mistakes. As an economic example, we have California. The EU has Greece.
I wanted to post the famous quote by Maragaret Thatcher concerning other peoples money, but I thought that at least I would attempt to verify it first. Here's an excerpt from an response to a question from Llew Gardner to Mrs. Thatcher on 7 Feb '76 on the show 'This Week';
"Socialist governments traditionally do make a financial mess. They always run out of other peoples money. It's quite a characteristic of them. Then they start to nationalise everything, and people just do not like more and more nationalisation, and they're now trying to control everything by other means. They're progressively reducing the choice available to ordinary people."
So, with the sbove quote in mind, who's our leader? Obama, or the Media? Then again, it seems that Obama has failed, and the Media has stepped in to replace him...
