Where are they now: Tracy Bridges and the Appalachian Law School Attack
Tracy Bridges - a former Madison County magistrate who told a federal magistrate Thursday that he carried extortion money for former Buncombe County Sheriff Bobby Medford - was once lauded as a hero during a school shooting in Virginia.
Bridges, 31, told a magistrate judge that he converted $30,000 in cash into money orders last year and deposited them into accounts for the former sheriff.
Medford and some members of his command staff were arrested Thursday. . . .
This is very sad. For a review of the Appalachian Law School attack, see this.

I've been thinking about this.
As you say, it is very sad that someone who acted in such an admirable manner, risking their own life by returning to the building to save others when it would have been so easy to flee, and having the restraint not to drop the gunman. Is now in this situation.
What is interesting is the contrast between:
excellent selfless behaviour when acting as an armed citizen
and
Corrupt behaviour of law enforcement officer.
Just a thought.
