New Harvard President former Director of Penn's Women's Studies Department
Drew Gilpin Faust was director of the Women's Studies Program. Despite the fact that women out number men by about 60 to 40 percent in college, it is not surprising that she had this exchange:
I've found it interesting that men applying to college at a lower rate, starting college at a lower rate, dropping out at a higher rate, and being horribly under-represented in numerous disciplines such as art history, social work and, dare I say, women's studies, never seems to fall under the heading of inequalities that need to be addressed. I guest they're just humorous examples of some of the ways that boys will be boys.
