A note on Zimmerman juror B29
But there was nothing unique about the part of Florida's law that was relevant to this case, but phrasing things this way feeds into the whole attack on Stand Your Ground laws. The key point is that juror B29 ultimately followed the law. From ABC News:
"That's where I felt confused, where if a person kills someone, then you get charged for it," Maddy said. "But as the law was read to me, if you have no proof that he killed him intentionally, you can't say he's guilty." . . .One thing is interesting is that the media had to show B29's picture, revealing that she is black. But that is not something that the media discussions what to explicitly mention.
