Why is Obama getting such positive news coverage?
With more technology, and fewer resources at many media companies, the balance of power between the White House and press has tipped unmistakably toward the government. This is an arguably dangerous development, and one that the Obama White House — fluent in digital media and no fan of the mainstream press — has exploited cleverly and ruthlessly. And future presidents from both parties will undoubtedly copy and expand on this approach.
“The balance of power used to be much more in favor of the mainstream press,” said Mike McCurry, who was press secretary to President Bill Clinton during the Monica Lewinsky scandal. Nowadays, he said, “The White House gets away with stuff I would never have dreamed of doing. When I talk to White House reporters now, they say it’s really tough to do business with people who don’t see the need to be cooperative.” . . .

Maybe, then, the takeover of journalism programs by the left, and the activist, bubble culture of reporters and editors can be portrayed as just a footnote.
BS. They are just trying to excuse their fawning behavior. Technology is basically where it was when Bush left office, but that did not stop them from constantly bashing him over everything. And these same clowns fawned over Clinton too, long before technology supposedly made it impossible for them to criticize a President.
And what about their slobbering coverage of Obama in 2008 before he was even in the WH?
If anything, journalists have more tools then ever before including 24-hour newscasts and the Internet. I don't buy their crocodile tears for one damn second. Citizens at their computers are finding stuff on Obama and bucking his agenda, but these oh so smart 'educated journalists' in the MSM can't? Give me a break.
Journalism used to be a craft that you learned by getting a job at a paper. Today it is a degree you get at University. They get taught philosophy, mostly left wing idealist nonsense and nothing about how to handle bull shit.
I have to agree with FZ on this issue. It is not technology at fault here, it's the media itself.
Leftist elites have been working for years to skew the media in a direction they want. Well, they did it. So now that the genie is out of the bottle, a few complain?
Obama is getting such positive news coverage, and there is complaints of being unable to get access to a golf game perhaps?
Geez, can we say oxymoron?
