Same day concealed handgun permit renewals in Florida

Florida is speeding up the process for renewing concealed weapons permits to meet a growing demand from gun owners.
Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam was on hand at his Fort Walton Beach office on Tuesday to announce the new process.
It's one of eight regional offices across Florida where license holders can obtain same-day renewals. . . .
To use the new service, license holders must call to schedule appointments and bring unsigned applications and checks or money orders to pay their fees. . . .
