Obama blames automation for unemployment
Obama also blames "automation" for a continuing poor economy.
"I mean, if you look at the trend lines, essentially what’s happened is that because of automation, because of globalization. You had a lot of manufacturing move out of the United States," Obama told WVEC-TV's David Alan. . . .

Puleeze! Automation is to blame? High effiency, highly repeatable process, and high quality. Better products at a lower price.
Those who do support work for automation are well paid. Not to mention that dirty and dangerous jobs are no longer a concern in the health and saftey of employees, which results in lower accidents and or injuries.
If we as Americans are to compete in a global market enviornment, we need automation. Hand asssembly simply cannot compete with automation in both speed and accuracy.
I submit that I am rather biased about this because I am a former robot, and controls programmer, but having worked in this field, I think I have a much better grip on this than Obama does!
