Clayton Cramer on Obama's promise on guns
Remember back in February 2008 when President Obama came to Boise and spoke at a big rally? He made a big point of saying, "I won't take away your guns," because those nasty, dishonest Republicans were saying that Obama was going to do that.
It sure didn't take long for Obama to reveal his intentions. The afternoon of the inauguration, the White House Web site's Urban Policy page admitted that he is indeed going to try and do exactly that. "Obama and Biden also favor commonsense measures that respect the Second Amendment rights of gun owners, while keeping guns away from children and from criminals. They support closing the gun show loophole and making guns in this country childproof. They also support making the expired federal Assault Weapons Ban permanent." . . . .

If BHO wishes to remain in power, he must utter what folks want to hear.
"Educate your children to self-control, to the habit of holding passion and prejudice and evil tendencies subject to an upright and reasoning will, and you have done much to abolish misery from their future and crimes from society."
Benjamin Franklin
Excellent advice, and I am sorry to say, that many have ignored it.
Many fall prey to rhetoric, yet fail to understand what it is that they sacrifice in doing so.
No president can cure the ills of a society, yet one person can add so much misery to all, when allowed to run rampant over the rights of all.
Our children are ridiculed if they so much as mention what their parents have taught them, if those lessons are against what the left propagate. Guns bad, socialism good!
Power can only be given, it cannot be taken. This is known and understood by BHO and his cohorts. Therefore, they feed all, or a select few in this case, what those few, or all wish to hear. One side hears what they want, and the other side know it's lies.
Which side is which?
And we also hear of gun insurance. And to Martin: My son's social studies class discussed the second amendment by showing a video of the Simpsons where Homer Simpson buys a gun. This isn't NYC or CA, but Iowa.
Obviously teachers do not wish to teach the truth to our children. Resorting to The Simpsons does not strike me as educational, nor appropriate.
The Bill of Rights was long fought over and rightly so. The Second Amendment is not by any means ambiguous. Then again, if we were to restrict the right of the left wingers to engage in free speech, they would scream bloody murder.
My son's social studies class discussed the second amendment by showing a video of the Simpsons...

I think your son's school district gets a "DOH!" for that idiotic move.
Have your son watch this video from YouTube. It has much better information than a cartoon.
