In the United States, 5.9 percent of Americans were victims of knife attacks over five years, while for the UK it was 12.2 percent.

The reason, of course, for the US' significantly lower rate of "knife crime" is our universal knife registration and licensing system. Why, I'm certain that if the UK were to tighten its laws controlling sales, posession and carrying of knives, their rates would fall just as their rates of "gun violence" have over the past few years. Excuse me, what was that you were saying? ...
