The 3 year prison sentence example was poignant.
For those who missed the show, the argument was:
A law making it a felony to carry on school grounds is a strong disincentive for law abiding citizens, because it would destroy their lives.
It provides no disincentive to murderers, however, because next to the life sentences they would would receive, three years is nothing.
I bet Hannity doesn't like the idea that abortion reduces crime though.
