Senator Webb on Carrying a Gun For Personal Protection
"I believe that it's important — it's important for me, personally, and for a lot of people in the situation that I'm in, to be able to defend myself and my family," Webb said. "Since 9/11 for people who are in government I think in general there has been an agreement that it's a more dangerous time. Again, I'm not going to comment, again, with great specificity about how I defend myself, but I do feel that I have that right." . . .

so how does he get the gun into DC again?
I read it much the same as you have, which is a little frighten, but not surprising.
He believes since he is a Senator he has "special" rights. Rights that others in DC do not have.
This goes right to the heart of the ban in DC.
I believe folks that act this way are called elitist.
He also seems to be throwing his aid to the wolves...like any good congress critter!
"Since 9/11 for people who are in government I think in general there has been an agreement that it's a more dangerous time" I find this quote by Senator Webb very disturbing. Remind me again, how many politicians have died on and since 9/11 vs. citizens.
