What gives me pause is the number of Americans I've met who live in Mexico. They all say it's more free than America.
Then again I've never met an expat who didn't think where they lived was less free than America.
Makes one think...
Well, I am not sure how free the US is any more. Surely it is no where near as free now as when I was a kid, and I was just reading some quotes by Ronald Reagan the other day where he had been lamenting how much freedom had been lost during his lifetime. In my lifetime, there are so many things that seemed taken for granted when I was a kid that would seem to horrify people today.
However, I don't think that this survey indicates the same thing as a loss of freedom.
