Democrats put political pressure on banks to sever ties with gun makers

Democrats are trying to drive gun makers out of business by making it financially more costly for them to do business.  This strikes me as pretty lawless.
Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, moving to take a lead role in the gun control debate, is turning up the pressure on banks that do business with firearms manufacturers.
Emanuel is sending letters to two major financial institutions, TD Bank and Bank of America, which offer lines of credit to gun makers suggesting that they stop lending money to the manufacturers if they don’t come out for new gun restrictions. . . . .

Commie Rahmie can go to hell. Capitalism needs to stop taking orders from those who wish to destroy it. How about the pathetic, little douchebag in Chicago do something about his out of control murder rates, or capitalist America cuts him off from capital?

Maybe Mayor Rahm Emmanuel should focus more of his energies on addressing the ongoing outbreak of violence in 2012 in spite of the highly restrictive gun laws in that city (and state). There is so much more he can be doing to lower rates of violence. Focusing on the gun manufacturers is a red herring and a desperation move.

I'm embarrassed (for the fist time in my life) for having been born in Chicago. Thanks alot Mayor Emanuel! Seriously though, CAN HE DO THAT UNILATERALLY? Is he some kind of absolute ruler? S & W and (especially) RUGER are solid first rate organizations - are they not? They actually know how to run an organization, make an extremely fine product and sell it at a (reasonable) profit. Does Emanuel want to PUT THEM OUT OF BUSINESS? Is he OUT OF HIS MIND? Firstly, thank God, I don't think he can. Secondly, don't those organizations supply the military and police as well as us BAD LAW ABIDING CITIZENS? [Rahm Emanuel will certainly be a member of his court when Obama becomes KING].

Remember when restraint of trade under color of law was a crime?

Welcome to the new progressive-corporate axis.

I've done a little research and apparently neither S&W nor Sturm Ruger will be hurt in any serious way by the Chicago mayors' assinine attempt at doing just that. They are both very profitable and don't really need ANY funds from any institutional investors over which the Democrats have sway. As far as a few cities NOT purchasing from the gun makers as punishment for not towing the PARTY LINE, I'm confident they will wind up doing much more harm to themselves than to these gun makers. If they already have (for example) S&W pistols as the issue weapon - then they NEED S&W alot more than S&W needs them. I'm happy to say I think this STUPID political BULLYING attempt by Mayor Emanuel will come back to BITE HIM big time! [Couldn't happen to a nicer guy!]
