Was it really smart for Obama to announce end to jobs council the day before the unemployment numbers are reported?

Possibly the Obama administration knows what the new numbers are.  But if the rate were to rise today, you would think that it would be pretty embarrassing, something that it is hard to believe that even the mainstream media wouldn't latch on to.
