The number of working age Americans "Not in Labor Force" soars by 1.2 million in January

Interesting graphic. However, if you look at the official total number of people "not in the labor force", posted at:

http://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.t16.htm

it was 86,168,000 in Dec. 2011 and 88,784,000 in Jan. 2012.

That's an increase of 2.6 million, not an increase of a measly 1.2 million.
