British Poll Shows Large differences Perceived Intolerance Towards different Groups
More than half of respondents (54%) believe the UK is an intolerant society towards people of Romani origin, and almost half (49%) believe Arabs face comparable treatment. Other groups perceived to be receiving intolerance are Pakistanis (43%), Bangladeshis (37%) and Black Africans (30%). . . .

The poll might have asked how intolerant they were towards gun owners.
What I found interesting is that -as the area became more local- less racism was percieved. That is, few saw much in their workplace, a few more thought it was an issue in their town, and so on.
I wonder if the increase in perceived racism is a function of media exposure, as the perception seems to increase as direct knowledge decreases.
