Robbery at Dairy Queen with Gun Free Zone signs
Here is the story:
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Police were searching for the person who shot the manager of a Dairy Queen during a robbery attempt Tuesday night on the city's north side.
The shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. at the Dairy Queen located on Tamarack Circle South, 10TV's Lindsey Seavert reported.
The gunman entered the restaurant and demanded money from the register, police said.
Jack Workman, 55, was complying with the gunman's request when he was shot in the abdomen. Workman was transported to Riverside Hospital, where he was in stable condition early Wednesday morning. . . .

Conservative - Only those who play by the rules aka good guys comply with such rules. Moreover, such signs just identify safe zones within which criminals may operate with impunity.
Liberal - Obviously the criminal couldn't read. Another indictment of conservatives underfunding public education.
Another example of the 'comply' with your robber/attacker mentality and why it does not work. I hope the victim sues the owner of DQ for advertising to "rob us" with the gun free sign.
The victim was the owner, and I was there, the man who robbed us was very young, maybe instead of putting out efforts into figuring out what the victims did wrong, we should come up with a way to get the youth of america off of the streets, and giving them some sense of pride. Maybe that way 17 year old boys won't feel the need, or ability to rob anyone let alone shooting one person and assaulting another over a hundred dollars. But I could be wrong.... maybe we should keep talking about what the victim did wrong.
