South Carolina enacts sweeping Reciprocity Bill
H. 3212 -- OUT-OF-STATE CONCEALED WEAPONS RECIPROCITY
STATUS: In Senate Judiciary Committee
This bill requires out-of-state permits to carry concealable weapons held by a resident of another state be honored by South Carolina. The legislation eliminates the current provision that South Carolina honors only out-of-state permits issued by a state with which South Carolina has reciprocity.
It is nice that Governor Mark Sanford signed that bill, though it is disappointing that he also vetoed a school choice bill.

This is great -- I'll add SC to the list of states that I am willing to go to.
Ah, just like Indiana. Good for them.
It would have been nice if they would have written it to allow Georgia permits.
Some information in this report is incorrect. The bill was amended and is not a straight recognition bill as the report states. SC now recognizes permits from reciprocal states who require a background check and a training class.
