NRA might endorse Giuliani?
The GOP White House hopeful, who backed the federal assault-weapons ban in 1994 over the objections of the NRA, has changed his position as a presidential candidate. He now says he supports the Second Amendment and believes gun laws should be addressed by the states.
It is possible that the NRA would endorse Giuliani.

I could see the NRA endorsing Rudy if Obama or Clinton gets the nomination and he is the GOP nominee, but I think that Richardson has a stronger 2nd amendment record than Rudy. FDT pretty much has the best 2nd amendment record among the top tier.
I call BS ... likely spread by the Rudy campaign to take the heat off.
Gun banner == Liberal. No way to escape the obvious.
It would be awfully early to make that sort of endorsement, despite what the media and candidate PR flacks might have us believe. Guliani is anything but a supporter of gun rights. We don't hear him suggesting that the other rights mentioned in the Bill of Rights should be left to the whims of the states, so why should the Second Amendment be different?
Guliani is a confirmed liberal on firearm rights and the right to self defense, and is merely attempting to paint himself with a very thin veneer of Second Amendment respectability. I suspect the NRA is too experienced to fall for it unless the only other choice is Hillary. Even then, I'd expect the NRA to make no endorsement.
In any case, the most obviously firearm-friendly candidate, provably so, remains Fred Thompson.
