Weird Crime Fact: Male Rapes
The U.S. Justice Department says one in 33 men in the United States has been a victim of a rape or attempted rape, compared with one in six women. Experts say men are far less likely to report a rape to authorities, because they fear being perceived as weak or see the attack as an assault on their masculinity. . . .
What is not mentioned here is that I presume a lot of these rapes occur in prison.

I live in Houston (Baytown is just outside Houston), and I've seen numerous reports on this serial rapist. I have heard the numbers of rapes per male capita, etc., and indeed, the news have not mentioned that many of these rapes likely occur in prison.
Interesting note.. I have my concealed carry permit 'just in case' (of many things). This rapist, as I understand it, is going mostly after teenagers... I wonder if he is smart enough to know that he should not risk attacking someone over 21 because they have a higher chance of legally carrying a concealed weapon?
That's another point not mentioned in the newscasts around here..

The rapist is almost certainly an ex-con. He is targeting smallish, frail, young white men -- the exact same profile that prison rapists target. But the AP has refused to mention the victims' race.
