Chicago Public Radio Panel Discussion on Northern Illinois University Attack

Chicago Public Radio's 848 had "a panel of experts for a roundtable discussion on guns and violence in Illinois and beyond." I was one of the members of the panel. You can listen to the discussion here.

Dr. Lott, I thought you did a terrific job against some very ignorant fellow panelists. Certainly they were very gun ignorant.

I do wonder if it is much use pointing out there is an "inverse relationship" when the first point, the non-inverse one, probably wasn't understood.

I was hoping someone would ask the priest if self-defense is a sin.

You deserve a medal for sitting on that panel. I don't think there was anything you could have said to change their minds, but I think you are getting the audience to start thinking.
